What inspired you to become an interior designer?
I have always had an appreciation for beautiful homes. I love fabrics, textures and art and seeing it all come together.
How would you describe your design style?
I would describe my style as transitional. I gravitate towards clean lines on upholstery, abstract art and more modern lighting, but also like to mix in antique pieces. It adds character to the space and makes it your own.
What are some of your favorite current design trends?
My favorite current trend is the revival of using color. I tend to use more neutrals, but I love seeing color make a comeback.
What is the hardest part of the design process?
The hardest part for me is adapting to the client’s taste (rather than my preferences). It’s a fun part of the job, but it is also a challenge.
What is your favorite part of the design process?
The best part, in my opinion, is when everything comes together and the finished product is unveiled. It's incredibly rewarding to step back and admire a space that has been transformed.
What's the most important thing to remember when designing a space?
The most important thing to remember is the space. What you design needs to compliment the style of the home, and scale is so important.
